The employer certificate is a document certifying that an employer (business with employees) is up to date with their social security obligations before the CCSS — payment of employee and employer contributions, payrolls submitted on time, etc. It is frequently requested to participate in public tenders, process loans, or as a requirement for other institutions.
How to obtain it: it is processed through the SICERE online platform. You can obtain the digital employer certificate with information on the current, previous, and prior reported salary.
Delinquency check: before requesting the employer certificate, it is important to verify if the business has pending debts with the CCSS in the "Consulta Morosidad" section of the official SICERE website. If the business has any overdue contributions, the employer certificate will not be issued until the situation is regularized.
How to stay up to date: submit complete monthly payrolls (company information, workers, and contributions) within the established period — from the 26th of each month to the fourth business day of the following month. It is recommended to consult with the CCSS for more information on deadlines and specific requirements.
Note: the certification of being up to date with the CCSS is requested through the SICERE system, and it is important to verify the updated information on the platform to ensure that established requirements and deadlines are met. The minimum reference income or minimum contributory base (BMC) has been updated: SEM - córroba 346.789.00, IVM - córroba 324.590.00.
