Parque Nacional Barbilla

Parque Nacional Barbilla is located in the cantons of Siquirres and Matina, province of Limón — one of the least visited national parks in the country and with the least tourist infrastructure, designed more for those seeking a minimally disturbed tropical forest than for a conventional tourist visit.

**Acceso**: the main entrance is 3 km east of Siquirres, on the road to Limón. From there it is 16 km by gravel road to the hamlet Las Brisas de Pacuarito, where the park administration is located.
