Parque Nacional La Cangreja

Parque Nacional La Cangreja is located in Puriscal, San José — the main entrance is 35 km southeast of Santiago de Puriscal. It is a relatively small park (2,570 hectares) with crystal‑clear rivers, 44 species of Costa Rican endemic plants, and wildlife such as armadillos, toucans, deer, pumas and poisonous frogs.

**Horario**: daily, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, last entry at 2:00 pm.

**Forma de pago**: solo con tarjeta — this park **no acepta efectivo** at the entrance, something different from most national parks.
