Manuel Antonio National Park

Manuel Antonio National Park, on the central Pacific coast (near Quepos), is one of the most visited parks in Costa Rica, known for its beaches, short rainforest trails, and easily observable wildlife (monkeys, sloths, iguanas).

Hours: Wednesday to Monday, from 7:00am to 3:00pm. Closed on Tuesdays.

Entrance fees:

• International visitors (non-residents): $16 per person.
• National visitors and residents: ₡1,600 per person.
• Parking: $5 additional.

Reservations: tickets are purchased EXCLUSIVELY online, via serviciosenlinea.sinac.go.cr — tickets are not sold at the park entrance. A passport number (or cedula, for nationals) is required for registration.

Guided tours: naturalist guide service is available Wednesday to Monday, from 7:00am to 2:00pm, with additional specialized tours in certain seasons.

Note: due to high demand, it is advisable to book the entry several days in advance, especially during high season (December to April) — the daily visitor capacity is limited.
