Ballena Marine National Park

Ballena Marine National Park, near Uvita (South Pacific), is known for its "whale tail" sandbar formation visible at low tide, and for being a humpback whale watching area during certain seasons of the year.

Hours by sector:

• Sector Uvita: 7:00am to 5:00pm.
• Sector Colonia: 7:00am to 6:00pm.
• Ballena and Pinuela sectors: currently closed (it was not confirmed in this verification since when nor if there is a reopening date).

Entry fees: $6 international visitors, ₡1,000 national visitors.

Reservation: no online reservation required — tickets are purchased directly at the ticket booths enabled in each sector, the same day of the visit.
