Palo Verde National Park

Palo Verde National Park, in Guanacaste, protects one of the most important wetlands in Central America, with a large concentration of migratory and resident waterbirds — it is a very well-known destination for bird watching.

Hours: every day, from 8:00am to 4:00pm.

Reservation and access: the park does not sell tickets in as standardized a manner as other parks with their own online system — most visitors arrive through a tour operator who organizes the tour (including the ticket) or else book lodging at the park's Biological Station directly.

Important note: it was not possible to confirm in this verification the exact amount of the entrance fee or the official independent booking channel (without a tour operator) — unlike other national park entries in this database, this information could not be verified with the same precision. Confirm directly at sinac.go.cr before planning your visit.
