Santa Rosa National Park, in Guanacaste, combines historical value (the Historic Monument La Casona, site of 19th‑century battles) with dry tropical forest and turtle‑nesting beaches within the same Area de Conservacion Guanacaste.
Hours: Wednesday to Monday, 8:00 am to 3:30 pm (may extend to 5:00 pm during high season). Closed on Tuesdays.
Admission fees:
Reservation: mandatory and in advance, through the dedicated system of the Area de Conservacion Guanacaste at reservaciones.acguanacaste.ac.cr (different from the general SINAN system used by other parks).
What’s included: the Historic Museum La Casona and natural trails, as well as the historic monuments on the site.
