Parque Nacional Volcan Tenorio (Rio Celeste)

Parque Nacional Volcan Tenorio, located on the border between Guanacaste and Alajuela (access via Bijagua de Upala), is known for the waterfall and the turquoise-colored Rio Celeste, caused by a natural mineral reaction in the water.

Hours: every day, from 8:00am to 4:00pm. Last entry allowed: 2:00pm.
